Rick Baron - President / Sr. Loan Officer

Rick has been in the mortgage business in 1983, and has personally originated and closed over $250,000,000 in home loans in the Austin area since 1992. He started Baron Mortgage in 2005 with his wife and partner, Shelton Ray-Baron, after determining there is a better way to serve his clients. Having the highest ethical standards, superior customer service, the most competitive rates and products, and closing every loan on time and on budget are the driving principles behing Baron Mortgage.

Shelton Ray - Vice President

Shelton brings an award winning management background to Baron Mortgage. She oversees the behind the scene operations of both the business and the loan process. She makes sure the right pieces are in the right places at the right time on every loan we close.

Mike Schmuelgen - Sr. Loan Officer

Mike has worked in the mortgage industry for over 13 years in various capacities ranging from retail origination to private mortgage insurance sales to wholesale production. His experience allows him to offer his clients a broad range of knowledge about mortgage products and the loan process. He asks the right questions and listens to his clients needs to find the perfect loan loan program to meet their short- and long-term financial goals. Mike believes in long-term relationships, and strives to become his client's ultimate resource for mortgage financing information for life.
